Monroe OKs three year gas funded street resurfacing plan
The Monroe council approved a three year program to resurface all class A streets that were originally funded by property owners. Surplus gas funds from the Utilities Commission, estimated near 450000, will finance the work with property owners paying up to 1 per foot. Four Men Die in Utah Ore Truck Wreck
In Mexican Hat Utah a runaway ore truck careened from a mine road and crushed a pickup. Driver Less Polly of Grand Canyon Arizona and Ben Lee Jr aged 28 and Daniel Black both of Mexican Hat died. Pilot Fined For Atlantic Dive After 30,000 Foot Plunge
The pilot of a Pan American 707 was fined 1000 dollars by the FAA for being out of the cockpit during a February dive toward the Atlantic.
