Louisiana House approves race track funds distribution formula
The House approved a formula for distributing race track proceeds from Bossier Parish. After racing fees and a 25,000 Legislative Council allocation, Bossier Parish would receive 400,000, Confederate Memorial Hospital 475,000, and 650,000 for North Louisiana colleges. An amendment allocated 100,000 to gifted education, with the remainder split 50 50 between the parish and state general fund.
