Topeka June 5 Governor Hedges testified he did not strike Mrs Luella West during a scuffle for papers in his office last April He said he only took the papers after she seized them from his desk He is defendant in a 315000 damage suit
John Dorsey and John Kent were convicted by a District Court jury for breaking into a residence at night armed with a dangerous weapon. The verdict, delivered after 45 minutes, marks a first in Caddo Parish for this offense. Judge Bell presided. Mabry led the prosecution. Holden and Stewart defended the defendants.
