Salva tore Spitale a Lindbergh mystery man was seized in a Playtime club raid in Broadway’s light district. Police found a gun with a permit from Judge William E Thorpe. Spitale and six others were questioned and he was charged with violating the anti firearms law.

Stani Slaus Hausner of Newark New Jersey began a nonstop flight to Warsaw Poland departing Floyd Bennett field at 8 46 a m Eastern Standard Time. He hopes to complete the journey without stops.
A sudden flood from the Canadian River and Lightning Creek swamped Oklahoma City, trapping sleeping families and flooding the south district. Four deaths are confirmed including a 14 year old girl and two women, with reports of more. Oil field facilities and gas stations halted by rising waters.
Neville High plans commencement tonight at 8 15 in the school auditorium. Sixty two seniors will receive diplomas with Dr David Fichman of New Orleans delivering the address. Mayor Bernstein will award diplomas and present the Paris peace prize essay to Lynton Ethridge. Louise Gray receives the D A R prize from Mrs Montgomery, and Doris Beaman earns the Spanish American War veterans auxiliary prize. Valedictory address by Dean McKain titled The Worthy Use of Leisure. Gray speaks on The Rebirth of American Ideals. The program includes the high school orchestra and student songs. The invocation and benediction will be by Rev Ernest Duncan Holloway.
The Community Players known as Little Theater shows rapid progress with about 100 members and a goal of 400 to 500, using the Grand theater at 2300 South Grand Street. Mrs. E Richards leads, aiming to foster dramatic talent in the Twin Cities area through amateur plays and a structured program led by director F M Russell returning from Marksville by June 10.
Baton Rouge Louisiana June 3 The house voted 71 to 12 to table a resolution by Malcom Dougherty East Feliciana accusing United States Senator Huey P Long of meddling with the legislature and urging him to return to his senate seat in Washington Frank J Stich New Orleans. Dougherty said Governor O K Allen supported a tax reform commission aiming at tax relief and Long should be in Washington not here stealing the governor's credit.
Unemployed World War I veterans from several states push toward Washington to demand cash bonus. A 53 man group from Columbus Georgia and nearby areas travels in two trucks after an Athens camp, while about 140 veterans from New Orleans join in and camp near Decatur. Additional contingents move north from Johnson City Tennessee Florida and Texas.
Louisiana lawmakers received a third income tax proposal during the current session. Representatives Pegues DeSoto Hutchinson Lafayette and Madison introduced a three percent levy on net incomes for residents and non residents with payments due in installments. The tax would deduct taxes paid on other property and distribute proceeds to parishes for retirement of bonded debt.
Three earthquake shocks struck Mexico City in rapid succession around 4 45 am today. The tremors frightened residents but caused no major damage as thousands spent the early morning outdoors recalling recent quakes.

Bodyguards protected Marlene Dietrich and her young daughter after threats to kidnap the child for $10,000. District Attorney Baron Fitts called the hoax “cheap chiselers” with no real intent to harm. Rudolf Sieber, Dietrich’s husband, left Hollywood for Paramount studios near Paris after a two month stay.
In Hawaii a 20 year old man William Nunes killed 16 year old Margaret Enos and then leaped into Halemaumau crater after kidnapping and shooting her at her sister's home. Their bodies lay beside the lava pit as authorities investigated the death duel blamed on love rejection.
