College students face new building use fee bill vote
In Baton Rouge the Senate concurred on House amendments to a bill charging college students a building use fee to back construction bonds. The measure limits the fee to 30 dollars annually and passed the House 54 to 39. North Louisiana leaders and college presidents backed the bill while opponents warned of higher tuition and lasting costs to families. A roll call lists voting lawmakers from multiple parishes in support.
