K Mart opens Monroe store with grand ceremony
The S S Kresge Company opened its 194th K mart Department Store at 2301 Louisville Ave Monroe. Atlanta executive C K Bowles led the ceremony with district manager J F Crawford as the crowd packed the 22500 square foot facility. Local officials attended and Bowles touted first quality merchandise and the promise of the most competitive prices with unconditional guarantees.
