Cincinnati July 21 The Baseball Players Fraternity President David L Fultz informs August Herrmann that from Wednesday July 22 members will no longer consider themselves under contract due to ongoing violations of the Cincinnati agreement and other contract terms. The letter is written on the Fraternity letterhead and signed by Fultz.
The find ing of another rat infected with bubonic plague was announced. This is the sixth infected rodent captured. No new human cases were reported today. Helen Loel, attacked Saturday, remains very ill. Washington announced another public health officer is coming to aid the fight.
New York reports President Ban Johnson warned that an order for a strike by American League players would prompt immediate closure of all AL parks until players return under league penalties. National League leader Tener was absent and secretary Heydler declined comment. A baseball authority warned park closures could hurt players financially more than owners, amid federation disputes led by the Kraft case and broader tensions with organized baseball.
Washington reports Carbajal will resist Carranza’s advance on the capital unless assurances are given that Huerta supporters’ lives and property will be spared. Diplomatic channels relay the news, fueling pessimism.

Charles P. Goodwin and Mrs. W. Brown were married at the Baptist parsonage in Warren Arkansas on Thursday evening by Rev J B Lueck. Goodwin is 28 and has four children including twins. Brown is 27 and has six children including two sets of twins.
New Orleans July 21 District Attorney Philip Gilbert filed another charge against William J LeBlanc cashier of the defunct Peoples Bank of Donaldsonville alleging false statement of bank condition on June 536 1914 A continuance and possible change of venue are discussed with eight additional charges expected and a new bond required LeBlanc is represented by John Marks and Sam LeBlanc with others to assist.
Former Mexican president Victoriano Huerta and wife Blanquet with son depart on the German cruiser Dresden from Puerto Mexico for Jamaica. The party sails quietly amid British cruiser protection. others stay on shore awaiting possible emergency steamer transport.
General Carranza indicated readiness to suspend hostilities and negotiate a transfer of authority in Mexico City with Carbajal allies. He met with John Siliman and consular representatives at Monterey and agreed to receive a three member commission. Secretary Bryan said negotiations show favorable prospects for an agreement.
The body of a well dressed young woman with long black hair and grey eyes was found on the beach in Galveston. A bullet hole in her head leads police to suspect murder. The date noted is July 21.
