J H Jake Fuchs 40 operator of an independent ice plant at 3000 Lee Avenue was instantly killed about 4 20 yesterday afternoon when he became entangled in machinery at the plant. The coroner Dr C L Mengis indicated death was an accident. He left a widow and three step children Earl Burl and Marie Perot. Funeral planned at 2919 Lee Avenue tomorrow at 5 p m.
A thief took only an oscillating electric fan from 1803 North Third Street between 3 50 p m and 9 p m yesterday. The heat is blamed for the burglary. The local resident is Dr J H Pankey.
