Power Plant Sets New Peak Load Record

Mon roe power plant reached an all time peak of 30 500 kilowatts surpassing last year by 400 kilowatts and nearing its 34 500 kilowatt capacity. Utilities Commissioner Tom H Underwood warned the rise could continue and urged major customers to cut usage if limits loom. City officials call a $412 million bond election to expand power and water systems a must with voting set for July 30.
