In Lake Providence Louisiana on January 2 a report says two new members may join the East Carroll parish police jury after Tuesday’s election returns Ward two incumbents Robert Aderholdt and Fred Holt received 51 and 85 votes Ward six incumbents W S Gibson and Sikes polled 43 and 44 Ward seven A J Sandifer and Matthews drew 116 and 87 A recount was ordered in Gibson versus Sikes race.

Nine Sentenced in District Court by Judge Garrett
