New Orleans January 21. State forester R D Forbes said Louisiana has bright prospects to obtain a large wood pulp paper plant. The facility, estimated at about 1 500 000 dollars, would likely be located in Monroe. Forbes added success could attract further ventures, citing long fibre yellow pine and natural gas resources as key attractions. The company name was not disclosed.

The Home Realty and Development Company of Monroe sold the Hardtimes plantation northeast of Monroe about three miles to Clar ence E. Slagle and A. W. Johnson for 62345 dollars and 50 cents. Saenger Theater Declared Safe by Assistant Fire Marshal
