Monroe Scout Honored For Lifesaving Feat
Andy Bruce an 11 year old Boy Scout from Monroe received an Honor Medal at the National Court of Honor in New Brunswick New Jersey for rescuing two non swimming women from a capsized boat on a private lake near West Monroe on June 7 of last year. He stayed with them in the water guided them to shore and fetched life jackets after swimming to safety.
