Seven Persons Dead Or Missing In Vessel Crash
In foggy English Channel collision between the American freighter Lucile Bloomfield and French tanker Port Manech seven persons are dead or missing. The Port Manech crew including an officer and the wife of a crewman died in a gasoline-fed blaze as the tanker ran aground near Le Havre. Six tanker crewmen were in serious condition while 22 were taken aboard the Bloomfield which returned to port.
