Trainman Killed In Illinois Crash In Frigid Illinois Central Fall

The Ouachita parish sheriff reports 251 major offenses in 1961 outside Monroe and West Monroe, down from 272 in 1960 and 284 in 1959 while totaling 223 in 1958. Notable changes include seven negligent homicides in 1961 versus one in 1960, and 54 of 93 lesser larcenies under $50 cleared. All 1961 murders were cleared.
