Madison Has Second Fatal 1959 Accident
In Madison parish near Delhi, Johnny Lee Longino of Warden, La. died from a skull fracture when his car struck a large truck and trailer loaded with 50 000 pounds of sweet potatoes. Three others were injured. the truck owners and driver from Dallas, Texas received minor injuries. The crash occurred just east of Delhi as Longino attempted to rejoin the highway from old Highway 80. The year’s first fatality in the parish was Carson Reynolds, a Lake Providence man, killed about 3 25 a.m. on January 1 ten miles west of Tullulah on highway 80.
