Friends of Mrs Mary Beams longtime city schools teacher expressed shock at her death at 5 this morning in a local hospital. Beams had taught at Lida Benton school and previously in rural Riser and Barkdull Faulk schools and Monroe public schools. She was a native of Tennessee and widow of a former husband. Surviving: son Charles Emerson Beams, brother Frank Emerson of New Orleans, four sisters Mrs Grisham, Mrs Ogtesty, Mrs Singleterry, and Mrs Galloway. Funeral service at 8 pm at O M Grisham residence 1998 Riverside, then burial in Bolivar Tennessee.

Double funeral planned for Sibley and wife in Memphis
