Death of Moore in Carnival Steamer Accident
James M. Bennett was released on parole after investigation showed the death of John J. Moore on the steamer Imperial near Avondale was accidental. Henry Bond, intoxicated, brandished a knife. Henry Bond, a 45 year old Monroe farmer, was discharged in the Second Recorder's Court by Recorder Charles J. Traubreaux for a fatal shooting aboard the Imperial.
