4-H Livestock Winners Highlight 1957 Show
Juvenile 4-H members from Union Parish and surrounding areas captured grand and reserve titles in cattle sheep and swine at the 1957 show. Patricia Harvey won the grand sheep championship with Rock and Roll Hampshire. Ronnie Elkins earned reserve cattle with a yearling Holstein. Freddy Miller took top in Southdown lambs. Sue Watts led sheep breeding with Baby Face. Prize money reached 10,000 dollars.
