Motorist Robbed by Two Hitchhikers Near Montgomery
Two young hitchhikers robbed Mississippi motorist Mott Yarborough of his 1949 automobile and $50 near Montgomery Alabama. Deputy Sheriff H W Mitchell said Yarborough, aged about 60, was beaten but not seriously injured after picking up the men at Livingston Alabama yesterday afternoon.

Paroled Youth Accused of Auto Theft in Bastrop
A 17 year old L T I parolee identified as Joe E Curry of West Monroe was arrested by Bastrop police Sunday night for theft of an automobile from Jack Russell's Used Car lot. He was captured in Bastrop and taken to Monroe by state police. no bond was set at noon Monday.
