The annual meeting of Louisiana Power and Light managers was held at Hotel Virginia with about 40 attendees from across the state. A. O. Orville Elmore in the parish jail awaiting manslaughter sentence for the fatal August 25, 1932 shooting of Ted Reiser showed some improvement. W R Hodge 42 of Arkansas road died at a local hospital after a lingering illness. Funeral 3 30 p m at residence with interment in Hasley cemetery officiating clergy were Rev Martin Hebert and Rev George H Dierlamm. Pallbearers were R H Redding M Hattaway Will Green Arthur Wilson E H Williamson and R W Windberry. Survived by mother Mrs L Hodge West Monroe widow and four children Louis J F Hoover and Louise Hodge. brother J F Hodge of New Orleans.

The program theme was Loyalty and included talks from Monroe and Shreveport speakers. Fred Williamson of Monroe led the afternoon consecration service and Dr. J. E. Purcell of Richmond, Virginia, gave a feature address. Luncheon was served at Trinity Methodist church by Rus ten Presbyterians.
P. K. Brown former United States trustee in bankruptcy was sentenced to 18 months in a federal penitentiary after pleading guilty to embezzlement. He admitted his accounts were short over $2,000 and said he had been working in east Texas to cover shortages.
Robertson alias C B Blank, a black man wanted on theft and breaking and entering charges, was wounded in the right leg during a failed attempt to steal a plow from H R Robbins barn on the Scot place Columbia road. He fled then hid in a servant house loft before being captured by sheriff's deputies.
London reports that Prince Sigvard of Sweden will marry Erika Patzek a German commoner with or without royal consent. The brides parents Fraulein Erika Patzek will attend the simple wedding and guests are expected to be limited as planned.
