A gasoline blast at an abandoned Pennsylvania railroad station near Edenburg killed four people two believed to be women. Two cars of gasoline were destroyed and several others injured as victims leaped from windows to escape. Sulphur Fraud Sentences Ordered Carried Out
New Orleans Feb 22 The United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ordered execution of sentences for three former Great Southern Sulphur Company officers. John B Warfield received 20 months and a $5000 fine while Arthur C MecCloughry and Charles Ransom were each fined $5000 and sentenced to three years in Atlanta Federal Penitentiary for using the mails to defraud in 1925. They are to report Monday to begin serving. They were accused of selling worthless sulphur stock from Texas mines.
