Central City Nebraska on February 21 reports Judge and Mrs Lew Peterson claim a strong chicken business. Starting February 1 last year with 100 white leghorns they kept exact records, ending with a net income of 421 dollars besides daily eggs and fried chicken. They say eggs totaling 10 574 laid in the year earned 285 dollars from eggs and 329 dollars from young chickens, with feed expenses only 192 dollars, yielding more than four dollars net per original hen.
Charles Gates son of John W Gates completed a near 3000 mile journey in 78 hours by train to seek expert treatment for blood poisoning. He arrived in New York Sunday night in better condition than at departure. Dr Fellows Davis said there was no immediate danger and he might recover in weeks if the case does not worsen.

Washington February 21 The Supreme Court announced several major interstate commerce rulings including restrictions on passenger ticket advertising and services for transportation and a ruling that state crew size laws may be enacted for public safety The court also held a holding company cannot shield a rail system from regulation and upheld a statute permitting railroad employee damage suits for injuries The Bucks Store and Range Company boycott suit against the American Federation of Labor was formally dismissed.
Natchez February 21 Right Rev Thomas Heslin bishop of Natchez and the Mississippi diocese is critically ill with Brights disease and heart trouble at his home. Doctors say he may not survive beyond twenty hours though he briefly improved after oxysten and care. He has kept up duties despite ill health and is in his 64th year with Dr J S Ulman at his side.
Senator Burrows announced that if no other senator wishes to speak the Senate would vote tomorrow on the Lorimer case after Lorimer finishes his address in the Senate. The announcement came as the Privileges and Elections committee chair moved toward closure.
