Casing has been set at 2199 feet in the Homer El Dorado Oil Company’s well twelve miles southwest of Huttig Union parish and the plug will be drilled on February 22. The site lies midway between El Dorado and Spencer La on high ground with several large gas wells nearby. A good showing of oil was reported two weeks ago and leases around the well reach $50 an acre. J D O'Brien of Shreveport president of the company expresses strong hope of a gusher as geologists call the structure excellent.
