State Dept halts arms exports to Middle East

Two Arrested In Connection With 1500 Burglary
Bastrop police arrested James Bershell and Woodson Martin after a $1500 burglary at the Golden Slipper Nightclub on February 13. Bershell had $256.80, plus $374 on a car, and $52.75 for a pistol. Martin hid $88 in a lard bucket and $798 in a towel. Martin admitted a prior theft at a Conoco station on February 9. Both held for arraignment scheduled Monday.

House Group Reau of Indian Affairs Budget Change
The committee set $85,590,000 for the House Group Reau of Indian Affairs, $3.6 million under the requested budget but $8,597,502 above this year. Engineers' Week Will Be Observed
National Engineers' Week will be observed from February 19 to 25 this year. Four Parachute Survivors After B52 Explosion Over California
Maj Harold F Korger of Atwater California is among four survivors after a B52 bomber exploded in midair near Stockton. Korger bailed out at 32 000 feet and landed 11 miles southwest of Stockton. he shows burns and a fractured arm at San Joaquin General Hospital. Other survivors Maj Michael Shay Copilot Gary Indiana Maj Billie M Beardsley Merced and Sgt Willard M Lucy Sacramento sustained minor injuries and were moved to the air base hospital. Names of the dead and missing were withheld.
