In Jasper Alabama on February 14 the Short quadruplets Faith Hope Charity and brother Franklin near Nauvoo reached about four pounds each a month after birth. They were born to Mrs Clyde Short a coal miner's wife. The family moved to a sewer-front cottage provided by Nauvoo citizens.
