Special to The News-Star reports the Thomason Al Natural Gas break crater fire in Alto was snuffed at 1 05 pm after a sudden mud spurt. The crowd and operators were surprised as the blaze died while gas continued to rumble out of the crater and shake nearby ground. Output is expected to drop materially.
