In Indianapolis Tony Kiritsis declares he will not release hostage Richard Hall from a third floor apartment until three lawyers verify a valid offer of complete immunity. Marion County Deputy Prosecutor George Martz says optimism grows that the standoff will end as Kiritsis demands are met and he could walk out free. He held Hall at gunpoint and accused Hall and two real estate firms of cheating him in a land deal, with the mortgage cancellation reportedly agreed to.
James Kirissis collected immunity papers from his brother Anthony at Crestwood apartments in Indianapolis. Anthony holds mortgage executive Richard Hall hostage in his unit and was granted immunity by the county prosecutor for Hall’s release. Kiritsis’s attorney received the papers as police planned a rushed search of the sealed apartment.
Nine LSU football players have quit the team including redshirt seniors and others lacking letters. The defections follow disciplinary dismissals of four promising players and scholastic issues for Wilbur Stansbury. Coach McClendon cited personal reasons and playing time concerns as factors, noting he has spoken with parents and stands by the actions.
