George L. Buckner, 65, of 307 K street Monroe died Sunday afternoon at home. He was born in Eagle Rock Idaho and raised in Dermott Arkansas. He was purchasing agent for the Ouachita parish highway department and a Masonic lodge member. Survived by wife Earle Virginia Standley a son George S. Buckner two daughters Mrs. T J Coenen Jr of Rayville and Mrs P Richard Pierce of Monroe six grandchildren and siblings Mrs Helen King Mrs Mattie Tate John Buckner Mrs Charlotte Howe June Buckner and Robert Buckner. Funeral Tuesday at 10:30 a m at Davis Lawhead Funeral Home. Interment Riverview Burial Park Pallbearers listed.
