Miss Frances Thomas of LSU Baton Rouge spent a weekend with her parents. Elizabeth Waddel returned from Natchez Mississippi. Cora Darden visited Centerville Mississippi and returned home with sister Mrs Charles G Bruce. Steve Harmon of LSU Normal College in Natchitoches was home for a weekend. Mr and Mrs Thomas Curry formerly Meadville are now Ferriday residents. Ferriday Woman's Club met at Mrs Joseph Pasternack’s home. The Baptist church Women Missionary circles held a program including songs devotionals and prayer. T E L class met at Mrs H M Bugly’s home. cold weather did not deter a large turnout. Mrs O W Hogan presided. discussion on class welfare followed. Miss Lillian O’Neal hosted her family for her mother Mrs R D Oneal’s eightieth birthday. an eight course turkey dinner was served. A radio was presented to the honoree by her children and grandchildren including Robert J O’Neal and Earl Barmore among others. The gathering included many relatives from Shreveport Hico Vienna Ruston and Choudrant.

Bell, soon to move to Monterey, was guest of honor and received many remembrances from club members. Miss Sarah I. Jones, parish librarian, has returned from a visit to Baton Rouge. Miss Floyce Taylor, a student at LSU, spent a weekend with her parents. Mildred White, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. White, is recovering from a gash over her eye sustained in a Ferriday high school fall and is back at school.
