New Orleans reports a guard Tony Cerino shot and killed Sam Negro at Cerinne Plantation in St Bernard Parish after hearing a back door open and the cash register ring. Cerino, guarding the plantation store, said the man fled toward him and he fired buckshot, striking Rogers in the back. The injured man died at a hospital after five this morning.
