Four Killed in Chile Volcano Eruption

Four people were killed and about 35 were missing after Villarrica Volcano near Pucon erupted around midnight. Residents of Conaripe and Licanray were evacuated as the 9186 foot volcano unleashed lava and ash in Chile's southern lake region. The area has hosted royalty and celebrities, including Queen Elizabeth and King Baudouin, along with political figures.

U.S. Command said one American was killed in action in Vietnam last week, the lowest weekly toll in almost seven years. Five Americans died of nonhostile causes and 24 were wounded. Armed Robbery Suspects Captured After Monroe Chase
