Bus and car collide on U S 66 near Pacific
A chartered bus on U S 66 collided head on with a car on a small bridge three miles east of Pacific. The car driver died and 31 bus passengers were injured, ten seriously. The bus traveled 264 feet after impact, veered across the highway, and plunged down a 50 foot embankment into a railroad embankment. The patrol said the car was on the wrong side of the road.

Jealousy killing shocks Conyers youths near church camp
Two teenage brothers, Thomas Henderson 15 and Donald Wayne Henderson 16, were killed at close range and dumped in an abandoned well near a religious camp outside Covington.
