A Monroe resident for several years she served two years as Assistant Secretary in the city secretary and treasurer's office. She leaves two daughters. Her father and sister were with her since Sunday. funeral plans were not announced.
The community of Calumet mourns its dead today, united in grief as residents grieve multiple losses. Officials urge solidarity and support for affected families amid the tragedy.
A Christmas Eve crush at Italian Hall in Calumet Michigan killed seventy two people mostly children. Citizens held a mass meeting to aid grieving families and a twelve member relief committee was formed to assess needs and distribute funds.

Deputy sheriff R A Forse was wounded in the leg after a street duel with Dr P D Harvey Dillon former president of the Louisiana State Board of Health in Many. The clash followed prior disagreements between the former state official and the deputy and occurred on the towns main street near a drug store with several eyewitnesses.
At a public reception in Tokio the Mexican envoy to De la Barra thanked Japan for participation in the Mexican centennial. A resolution was adopted criticizing the United States for alleged discrimination against Japanese and expressing disapproval at Japan's participation in the Panama Exposition. The envoy was loudly acclaimed.
More than four hundred national banks and trust companies from every state and nearly all large cities have applied for membership in the Federal Reserve system. Applications are arriving so quickly that officials struggle to keep pace.
A fire trapped many on upper floors as Mrs A Niemela died suffocated. Ed Head, a negro, was shot and seriously wounded by Police Officer Klackie Lewis after head fired several times during a disturbance near the city cemetery. Three accomplices were arrested.
