Elton Wood Sr died in a Shreveport hospital after a long illness. Funeral rites are Thursday at New Light Baptist Church with Rev. Paul McComb officiating and burial in Hall Cemetery, Mulhearn directing. Surviving are a daughter, four sons, 22 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and pallbearers named Winnan, Mardis, and Adkins. The body lies in state at 9 a.m. at the church.
