Bandit Santa Robbery Wounds Eight In Cisco Texas
Gun battle at the First National Bank in Cisco Texas left at least eight wounded and one officer dead as a Santa Claus disguise led a five man robbery. Officers pursued the bandits as they fled in two cars, grabbing two school children for shielding fire. Police Chief G E Bedford was mortally wounded. Several victims including cashier Alex Spears and Harvard student Marian Olson were injured. The incident continued as the bandits fired at officers and bystanders.

Ground breaks planned for mobile gas line by January fifteenth
S M Collins in charge of surveys announced that construction of the long gas line from Richland parish to Mobile Alabama will begin around January 15. The project totals 18 million dollars with financing completed by Mack and Collins of Houston. The line may extend to Montgomery if plans proceed and franchises are in place in Louisiana Mississippi and Alabama. Mack and Collins will arrive from Houston next week to commence active work.
