Old Indian Burial Plot Found Near Crew Lake

Workmen on a federal resettlement project uncovered seven near intact skeletons and multiple pottery pieces in a mound a mile southeast of Herbert Mill gaps place. Skeletons include a child and a six foot adult with painted black clay bowls. pottery shows unique geometric designs. Fred Majors transported the largest skull to Monroe. Lois Burkhart to visit Swartz during holidays.

Christmas Party For Hobbs Post And Auxiliary

The Rodney J. Hobbs post and auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars will hold its annual Christmas party at the post hall 412 1 2 De Siard street Thursday at 7 45 p m. E H Miller announces a program of interest and all members are expected to attend. Gift stockings filled with candy fruit and presents will be brought by members for underprivileged children and distributed by the auxiliary. Five of Americas great wars began in April with dates noted.
