Bastrop Woman and Child Hurt After Auto-Locomotive Crash
Mrs. Virgil Harrison, 32, and her two year old daughter were seriously injured in Bastrop when their car collided with a Missouri Pacific locomotive at Elim Street crossing. The car was dragged about 165 feet before plunging into a ditch. both victims were rushed to Morehouse hospital with head and leg injuries and possible internal trauma. Engineer Bill Ragland operated the locomotive, Conductor J A Salter supervised the train.
