Parker Talks to Kiwanians on aviation progress
Laigh C. Parker Delta Airlines traffic manager spoke to the West Monroe Kiwanis at the First Methodist church about 33 years of aviation advances from Wright brothers to modern air travel. He outlined safety, comfort, and a possible round the world trip in 16 days and discussed a future direct Delta line via Bermuda to Charleston. The meeting allocated $32 from last week’s auction to three funds and collected about 100 toys for WPA workers to repair for underprivileged children. Fred C. W. Parker of Kiwanis International plans a March 18 visit in the south.
