Five Great Falls men staged a mock stagecoach holdup to entertain Chicago amateur boxers but the ruse failed. Decked in western garb they blocked a road south of Great Falls and threatened the first bus, causing passengers to raise hands and hide valuables. The driver complied, then the ruse collapsed when the bandits apologized and the second bus arrived. One boxer resented rough handling and poked William Shea, ending the stunt.
