Jo Ann Hogue twenty four and her husband James Arthur Hogue twenty three died in a three vehicle crash on a four lane highway near Slaton Texas as Jo Ann was en route to the hospital for the birth of their child. Also killed was Juan Vela Frusta a farm worker from Abernathy. The Halliburtons of Slaton the couple’s parents were en route to the hospital and witnessed the wreck.
