New Orleans December 13 The Southern Pacific Sunset Limited departed Union Station at 11 30 PM when the Wells Fargo express messenger L C Ward was found unconscious in his car after a supposed white man entered and struck him. Ward, robbed of an express package containing 2009 dollars, was revived and reported the incident to conductors who continued the voyage.
