Downing Sparks Nuptials Draw Wide Local Interest
The marriage of Miss Mariscet Snarks and Mr. Downing sparked strong local attention with a large afternoon ceremony at the bride’s mother Mrs. R. C. Sparkes on River Front. Relatives included bridesmaids Caro Webb and Lula Merrill and matron of honor Mrs. Winston Craig. A formal reception followed with fern decor and a two course luncheon. the couple plan a New Orleans honeymoon before settling at 60 River Front.
