Monroe Citizens Rally Behind Oil and Gas Plan at City Hall
At a Tunica Parish meeting in the City Hall Council Chamber Monroe citizens from all walks of life endorsed a plan proposed by Mr. Snyder of Pittsburg to bore for oil and gas. Thirty six attendees pledged funds toward the $10 000 start up with boosters to actively promote the project and attract large property owners. Judge Schulze urged rapid action and optimism about finding paying oil or gas within ten to twelve miles of Monroe.
