British Day Observed at Public Gathering

A British Day observance took place Sunday at the City School Auditorium in Monroe with Mayor Apgar presiding. Rev. BE. Means gave the main address praising Britain’s role in World War I while the program featured music, readings, and patriotic songs led by local performers. the benediction closed the event.
