Des Moines Iowa Dec 7 Judge Van Valkenburg set tomorrow as the trial date for indicted officials of the National Plumbers Association in federal court. The motion to quash indictments was refused and the officials were ordered to appear for trial.
President Wilson said he opposed Representative Gardner’s plan to investigate the United States readiness for national defense. Gardner announced he would press the resolution after his meeting with the president.
