Merigold Mississippi December 6. C C Dunagent assistant cashier at the Bank of Merigold has been missing since Saturday. Auditors from the state banking department report a shortage of about $1500 after examining his books. Dunagent lived with Frank Jones the bank’s cashier but could not be found after failing to appear for work last Saturday prompting a state inquiry.
New Orleans railroads moved 63 488 freight cars in October breaking all time records. The New Orleans Association of Commerce reports October volume far exceeds prior months with early 1924 ten month total showing a 19 000 car gain over the same period in 1923.
