Austin December 6 There is strong evidence that prohibition bills will be re introduced in the upcoming regular session with a working majority for supporters in both houses The likely measures include a ten mile ban on liquor sales near state funded educational institutions and a requirement to close saloons from 7 pm to 6 am The antis oppose state wide prohibition arguing a public vote should precede any such action and may resist but the pro side appears poised to push these restrictions through

Mr. Schell, arrested in New Orleans on a warrant sworn by a Consoli dated Adjustment Company manager, was released Saturday by Judge Madison after a preliminary hearing. The manager failed to appear with evidence, the case was dismissed, and he remained jailed about a week. The Ruston Leader clipping notes the charge there was disposed of as well.
