Geneva telegram reports Britain informing the League of Nations that it will not recognize any interference by Egypt or any external government in matters related to the Anglo Egyptian dispute. The note states Great Britain will not accept league or other intervention on Sudan issues.
Fifty state and federal foresters who met in New Orleans begin inspection of the forestation preserve near Urania Louisiana with a barbecue hosted by State Senator Henry E Hardtner. Leaders are elected for California and New Jersey posts, a secretary treasurer is reelected, and a $1,000,000 fire prevention appropriation is urged.
Atlanta reports that the commission on international justice and goodwill says Congress acted needlessly in passing the Japanese exclusion act. The report also notes missionary leaders in Japan feel the exclusion set back Christian progress by twenty years, while American church sympathy helps Japanese retain faith in Americans. Dr. A K Reischauer of Tokyo will present Japanese leaders' views.

The well flows 25 barrels daily from 1 955 feet with oil at 40 degrees gravity, near Cris shaw No 1 of Arkansas Fuel Company. The find boosts prospects for deeper Waskom gas field tests seeking oil.

A Detroit United Lines interurban bound from Detroit to Cleveland crashed into a truck trailer carrying forty tanks of turpentine at Wyan Dotte. Five people died and many were injured as the front car burned. Motor man Daniel Callahan of Toledo was killed. Harry Culver of Toledo, the truck driver, was arrested.
Authorities say clues and rumors in the death of Mrs. Annie Leo Edwards, wife of Dr. George T. Edwards, have failed to solve the case. Dr. Edwards, wounded and in custody on a coroner's warrant, was to attend the funeral in Montgomery before plans were canceled due to his condition. He remains at the county jail awaiting transfer to Bessemer when safe.
Leo Koretz the master swindler waited in Cook County Jail on four indictments after pleading guilty. State's Attorney Crowe planned his transfer to Statesville penitentiary as Koretz remained in cell No. 13.
