Norwegians End 3600 Mile Kayak Trip To New Orleans
Bjorn Braaten and Kaare Andersen, both 22 and 24 from Oslo, concluded a seven month 3600 mile kayak journey from Portland Oregon to New Orleans in a soaking rain. They paddled a 16 foot kayak with an overland portage across the Rockies and funded parts of the trip by journalism and film work. The two cited learning about America and plans to kayak again another time.

Identical Twin Marriages End In Twin Divorces
Identical twin brothers Elvin and Melvin Dameier married identical twins Margaret and Elizabeth Finch in 1952 and later divorced. The couples lived on a Lena, Illinois farm after meeting at a 1950 St Louis Twins Association convention. Each sister sued for cruelty, and Judge Burt awarded custody of two children to each wife with support and a 1960 model car for each family.
