Willard Provokes LA Audience at Orpheum Show
In Los Angeles on December 2 the audience at the Orpheum Theater booed Jess Willard after a skit. The crowd demanded the actor remove his chair breaking bit and Willard retorted about wages before the audience reacted with heckling and dismissal.

Edith Storey in The Dust of Egypt at Sugar's Theatre
Vitagraph star Edith Storey depicts Amenset in The Dust of Egypt a six part Blue Ribbon feature. She scoured New York stores for materials and created costumes by hand from canvas stencils and aged cloth while wearing bandages and a papier mache headdress. The production drew praise for its convincing mummy effects and Storey described the costume as a nuisance with air scarce in the mummy case. Sugar's theatre hosts the show tonight.

City Council Plans $90 Million Philadelphia Loan
The finance committee approved an ordinance for a $90,000,000 city loan to be put to voters at a February 8, 1916 special election. Funds cover $46,000,900 for subways and elevated rails, $8,000,000 for port development, $3,000,000 for a municipal art gallery, $2,000,000 for Philadelphia General Hospital, and $1,000,400 for a town hall.
